Our Story:
Rewilding Native Gardens began with a simple idea: school grounds can be more than just grass. In middle school, I started my first native plant garden after learning about pollinators and habitat loss. With support from WWF-Canada Go Wild Grant, we created a native garden at our school, Appleby College, and began collecting and propagating seeds.
What started as one garden has now grown into a student-led initiative to help other schools do the same: transforming small spaces into thriving ecosystems and living classrooms.
